KYOS Intelligent Page Recognition (IPR) Module
automatically identifies scanned pages and documents without the need for barcodes and separator sheets. Rules can be added with this module to make sure that specific pages and documents reside in or are moved to specific folders. These advances increase the overall efficiency of the scanning process, while reducing rescan and error prone manual activities. Advanced processing with IPR includes the ability to make "virtual folders" containing copies of documents from different places in the chart. This capability dramatically speeds coding and billing by aggregating needed documentation into one place. -
KYOS Extract Module
extends IPR to identify and capture fields and elements from scanned pages and documents. Metadata is automatically extracted, converted, and validated to ensure that misfiles are detected and corrected, even while significantly decreasing the manual labor required to index and verify each page. KYOS Extract can be extended even further to enable advanced search and find of specific high value fields, or converting those fields into data for upload into other systems. This functionality allows the aggregation of specific data, such as blood pressures and current medications during the patient's history. These fields can be on the same page, from different pages, even from different tabs within the chart. -
KYOS Deficiency Analysis Module
is a workflow engine that leverages the capabilities of IPR and Extract to assist HIM editors and analysts by automatically finding missing pages, documents and signatures. Once those missing components are found, the analyst rapidly assigns the deficiency to the appropriate editor or signer to fix the deficiency. All deficiencies are tracked and logged so that no missing page or signature falls through the cracks. Furthermore, logging dashboards provide real time data on assignees and how quickly they remedy any deficiencies, allowing you to easily track and follow outstanding records and metric response times. -
KYOS e-Sign Module
allows healthcare workers with the appropriate clearance the capability of directly electronically signing the pages. Coupled with the Deficiency Analysis Module, Physicians sign into a secure web browser and access the documents they need to sign. Reduce the phone calls, emails, and reminders to providers to physically come to HIM to sign their documents. Now they can securely and remotely complete record deficiencies, saving both administrator and provider significant time. The signor's credentials and date and time of signing may be made visible at point of signing. All activity is logged for a record of when and who did the signing. -
KYOS Collaborate Module
brings secure communication and annotation to the KYOS Document and Image Repositories. Pages and regions of pages can have notes attached, separate from the actual images, but directly linked. This capability dramatically streamlines and simplifies responses to audits, where records can be electronically shared, along with appropriate comments. That way, the audit response discussion is documented easily and the response can be generated, not only with the comments, but the specific chart information. No longer will 10-15 copies of a chart need to be made and disseminated for sticky note comments, which then need to be aggregated prior to writing a response. Annotations, highlighting, comments are all captured as metadata to the document. Collaborate allows you to aggregate and display all comments, highlighted document regions, and collate the team's response, easily and effectively. -
KYOS Document and Image Respositories
form the backbone of the KYOS System. These advanced relational databases allow rapid viewing, search and retrieve capabilities (not only of pages and documents, but when used in combination with IPR and Extract, fields and elements as well), and data mining. All changes to the repositories, such as e-Signatures and deficiency fixes, are fully logged and documented. Access priviledges and security control are centrally located through easy to use administration interfaces.
